These include: * The Pivoting Optical Servo (POS) combines high-density magnetic data recording with laser servo guidance to provide a significantly increased track count over previous Super DLTtape products. * Laser Guided Magnetic Recording (LGMR) combines the best of magnetic and optical recording technologies. The optical track is located on the reverse side, which allows the front of the tape to be dedicated to data recording. * Advanced Tape-Slitting Mechanics increase the precision of the slitting blades to provide a consistent tape edge, which improves tape transport of the DLTtape S4 data cartridge.
