Library Mergers
With the current
business trend towards mergers and acquisitions, data center managers
are often faced with merging libraries with similar labeling systems.
Data Link can identify Volume ID conflicts or duplicate labels and
copy media to new tapes with new identity numbers leaving data unchanged.
In some cases, the entire library can be relabeled. Data Link can
also test and identify tapes to be discarded prior to the expense
of moving.
