Every Item is FOB shipping
point, prepay and add unless stated or a special quote is issued.
Most items like Media, Cleaning supplies, Media Cases, Small Racks
and other small supplies will go by UPS ground. If you prefer FedEx,
UPS Red or Blue that can usually be arranged. Larger items like
Safes, Racks, Enclosures and Cabinets are too big to go by UPS or
FedEx and will have to be shipped on a pallet by truck.
If requested, Data-Link
will provide freight estimates. Data-Link will not be liable for
the correctness of these estimates. Data-Link does not guarantee
transit times, either verbal or inferred. These are estimates and
should be treated as such. All weights shown are approximate and
obtained from standard packaging procedures. Skid weight is not
included.
Inside
Delivery -
Additional charges apply
A single driver taking a carton or skid from the receiving area
to the desired room or office. The driver must be provided an adequate
loading dock for off loading and an unobstructed path to the room
or office to which the carton or skid is destined. The driver will
provide any necessary equipment required for easier handling, such
as a hand truck or pallet jack. If the final destination is not
accessible from the loading dock, a freight elevator must be provided.
Note: All manufacturers have different rules and regulations regarding
unpacking or removing cartons. In most cases drivers are not permitted
to unpack or remove cartons.
Liftgate
Service - Additional charges apply
A liftgate is a small platform installed at the rear of some delivery
trucks used to lower heavy or bulky freight to ground level when
no loading dock is available. Any customer that cannot provide an
adequate loading dock should request a liftgate service when ordering.
Liftgate service only delivers the carton or skid to ground level
and does not provide delivery inside.
Liftgate is not included
under the definition of inside delivery. It is a separate service
charge, which must be prearranged before delivery. Note: Not all
trucks are equipped with a liftgate.
Notification
Most carriers will charge a fee anytime they are required to call
and arrange an appointment before delivery. Note: Data-Link requires
customers to provide a reliable contact name and phone number for
someone at the destination site to eliminate any confusion about
location, time of delivery and services required beforehand.
Redelivery
Whenever a delivery is refused by a customer (for reasons that are
not the fault of the carrier) and must subsequently be redelivered
to the same site, the carrier will charge a redelivery fee.
International
Shipping
Not all items can be shipped outside of the continental United States.
Please contact us for shipping charges and availability for items
going out of the continental U.S. We offer International shipping to some locations by
US Postal Service, TNT. FedEx or UPS. International orders (excluding Canada) must be
paid in advance by wire transfer or prepaid certified check.
Delivery
Times
Most items in stock such as Media, Cleaning Supplies, Ribbons, Toner,
etc can ship same or next day. Most Racks, Cabinets and larger items
take 2-4 weeks depending on the manufacturer. Most Enclosures and
other networking supplies can be shipped within 1-2 days. Lead-time
on custom labels is 2 weeks. Some labels can be rushed for a fee.
Equipment such as Degaussers and Tape Cleaners will ship within
a week if in stock but could be as long as 30 days. Fireproof media
safes run anywhere from 2-3 weeks for DS series safes and 6-8 weeks
for SW Series fireproof safes and cabinets.
